Aprendiendo y Mejorando

Hola Familia!

Unfortunately, I don´t have a lot of time to write again this week. But it was another great week to be a missionary!

My new companion and trainee is Elder Tilley from Flowermound, Texas and he is really great. He never studied Spanish before his mission so he's about as green as it gets but he is always ready to work hard and learn without complaint! I know that we're going to learn a lot together and through diligence and obedience, we're going to perform miracles.

When we first got back to Jamiltepec, we went straight to work. The first couple of days we're pretty hard because I just had a bunch of thoughts that I was inadequate and not ready for all this responsibility. Now, I already feel a lot better. We're staying busy and making progress. I have confidence in myself, in my Spanish, and in my knowledge of the Gospel. I still have an endless amount of things to learn and improve, but I'm excited for these next couple weeks!

Thank you for your love and support.

Love,
Elder Tucker

El estudiante llega a ser el maestro

February 6, 2017

Dear Tucker Family,

I am pleased to inform you that your son, Elder Scott Jentry Tucker, has recently been given the assignment as a trainer in the Mexico Cuernavaca Mission.  I consider this assignment to be one of the most important in the mission.  As a trainer, your son’s companion will be a newly-arrived missionary.  He will have the responsibility to show by example how to be an excellent servant of the Lord, applying the principles of Preach My Gospel and other instruction received in the Missionary Training Center.

I am confident that Elder Tucker will help his companion establish righteous habits and patterns of missionary excellence that will bless this new elder throughout his mission.  In doing so, together they will develop lifelong memories of sacred service together.

Please know of my love for and confidence in your son.

Sincerely,

President Héctor Ávila Rosales

Hola Familia!
It was fun, exciting week for me here in La Gran Mision!
With the latest cambios in the mission, things are a whole lot different. On Wednesday, I got a call from the zone leaders saying I'm going to train a new missionary! Kinda crazy because I finish my own training and meet the Elder Im going to train today but Im grateful for the trust that the President and the Lord have in me to do this at this point in my mission. Thats all I have time for this week, wish me luck! I love you all so much.
